Conference on Non Governmental Diplomacy
In partnership with the American and French national NGO platforms InterAction and Coordination SUD, as well as the Mortara Center for International Studies of Georgetown University, the Office of Non Governmental Affairs co-hosted a Conference on Non Governmental Diplomacy. Its purpose was explore the increasingly critical roles played by Non-governmental organizations in addressing global issues.

Co-organized by the Office of Non Governmental Affairs and the French-American Foundation, a forum on Venture Philanthropy was held at the French Embassy on the December 3rd, 2008.

Ms. Laurence Tubiana, the director of French research institute IDDRI, exchanged views with representatives of the American NGO community on the initiative IPBES, during a working lunch organized by the Office of Non Governmental Affairs.
